Does everyone have to be a celebrity with 1000+ names list or completely understand and be able to use sophisticated attraction marketing systems in order to succeed in network marketing? Obviously these are helpful factors, but what are the most important things that an average person can do?  The most critical aspect is a system or approach that is consistent and workable.

Having a system is important so when someone new joins your team, you can plug them into a consistent training method that gets them started with tools and strategies that are proven to work and are duplicatable.  If you don’t have such a system, then you might have to create it yourself or find a leader that has a system you can take advantage of.

After they’ve done your start-up training you can tailor the approach they should be taking according to their skill-set, interests, and goals.  Some people who are more technical, might want to take on attraction marketing as a method of generating leads, whereas others may be better at using offline marketing techniques.

Another important consideration to maximize duplication on your team is using experts to close after you’ve presented your business or products.  An expert in your business may have already achieved significant success or be a noted authority in the field.

When involving an expert in the process, you must build-up, or edify the expert.  This is important in order that their information is viewed as highly valuable and/or coming from a person having extremely valuable insights that will be helpful to the prospect.  It is also important to give control to the expert to share his/her information without interruption.  Even if they say something incorrect, you should not interrupt them.  Remember you want your prospect to “see” this person as someone more knowledgeable and/or having more success than he/she does vs. just a peer.

Having a systematic and duplicatable approach is essential, especially when using attraction marketing.  This doesn’t mean that you can recruit on 100% autopilot, but it does require consistency using only the most effective approaches.  Expect also that you’ll have to continually tweak your system, as the industry is in constant flux and products are being revised by your company and your competition on a continuous basis.

One of the most important factors to achieving success in attraction marketing, with its implicit leadership requirements, or any aspect of life is having a high level of self-esteem.  Conversely, low self-esteem can easily ruin any possibility of reaching your goals.  Attitude is not enough.  You must take on the level of activity that someone who is already at the level you desire to attain has already done.

First, you must choose someone to emulate.  This person will be your “model.”  You can’t do it all at once, but eventually you will become like your role model and do the things they do.  Your must, above all, understand why they do what they do and what their goals are.

Use your imagination to develop your capabilities and behavior.  Imagine yourself as a champion in your particular endeavor.  A customer focus can help you to motivate yourself to achieve more.  Helping others is something that results in self-satisfaction, as well as gets you moving in the morning.

You must begin the process with a self evaluation.  Do you have a correct picture of yourself, or are you in denial about some aspects of yourself?  Do you believe you have what it takes?  Is there anyone who looks or acts like I do that is very successful?

You must choose to change and begin acting as if you have the capacity to become the person you want to emulate.  You must convince yourself at a subconscious level that you are a champion.  Your subconscious mind cannot distinguish between the real and the imagined.  If you can start out acting “as if” you were wildly successful, you mind will complete the picture for you.

Then, if combined with new habits, you will soon change your reality.  This process can take some time, so you must be patient.  Usually to change an attitude, it takes 21 days of changed behavior, thinking, and imagining to make it a reality.

What if you stumble along the way?  Don’t allow self-doubt to creep in. Affirmations are an important way to course correct, especially those backed by strong feelings and emotions.  Here area a few that may be useful:

  • I am constantly working on my goal achievement
  • I am an optimistic thinker
  • I react calmly and intelligently to stressful circumstances
  • I am in complete control of my emotions and feelings

Self esteem is critical to achieving your highest goals.  You can become more successful than the person you currently emulate.  Start today; use your imagination and develop the habits that will make it all come true.

In this article, we discuss some ideas for using Twitter in your attraction marketing strategy, as shared by Curt Frieden in a recent webinar.  Twitter is a microblogging website that allows publishing a limited number of characters per “Tweet.”  One of the big advantages of Twitter is the ability to directly communicate with virtually anyone, unlike Facebook, where you are more limited to your “friends.”

Sometimes, people equate Twitter with Facebook; however Twitter is much more of an “open” system.  What this means is that you have access to anyone, without first establishing a “friendship.”  There are no limits on who you can communicate directly with, which is something few people are aware of or take advantage of.

Use of a third-party tool such as TweetDeck “opens up” Twitter so that it is much more usable.  TweetDeck allows management of your contacts, including not only Twitter, but Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, and more.  In addition, Tweetlater.com can be used to automatically respond to direct messages coming to you and Twollo.com can be used to automatically follow users based on keywords you select.

Another useful tool in the strategy, is Ping.fm, which allows a simultaneous status update on Twitter, Facebook and other selected social media.  In addition the Twitter Toolbar for Firefox, mytwittertoolbar.com, has a multitude of tips about using Twitter.

The strategy in using all of these tools and leveraging Twitter is in making friends and establishing relationships with people.  Once people know who you are and trust you, it is much easier to send them to one of your websites to opt-in for more information and become a customer.  This is also true of other similar Web 2.0 social networking sites; relationships are the key.

What is a Twitter “stealth” account?  Curt explained that he has a separate account that he uses to follow a lot of the big names in Twitter, who have massive following.  The account is not used to interacting with others, rather to link to his other accounts and to “spy” on what the big name users are doing.  This strategy segregates key users from the “noise” in his main Twitter account, so it is easier to isolate what they are doing.

Everyone has the same amount of allocated time each day. This is a limited resource that requires diligent management.   Since so many diversions and interesting things exist online, a higher focus and attention to detail may be needed when involved with online attraction marketing systems and processes.  Here are some specific suggestions for getting a handle on this critical resource wisely.

It isn’t about all work and no play; however one key to success is separating the two clearly.  If you’re an entrepreneur and working from home, you must have a private space that is off-limits during your business workday.  This is a critical consideration for those who want to work from home effectively.

What are the basics that you must master in order to have the best utilization of your limited time resources?  We offer the following six concepts as a starting point:

  • Focus – A focus on one task at a time is crucial.  This one task should, of course, be the highest priority at the current time.  Multi-tasking is not an option and will cause you to spiral into disorganization.
  • Clear Goals – You should always have the big picture in front of you as well as a daily to do list.  Author Brian Tracy suggests spending some time each evening or morning creating your top 10 goals from scratch as well as a list of 20 things that need to be accomplished to move you toward the most important of your 10 goals.
  • Daily Planner – Use a daily planner or electronic calendar.  This may work best in conjunction with an electronic personal digital assistant (PDA).  Schedule time blocks including personal development, spiritual development, and exercise.  We find Google Calendar to be an excellent tool, which integrates with many smart phones.
  • Minimize Procrastination – Use whatever psychological tricks and/or rewards you need in order to tackle the hard jobs.  Don’t use the  excuse that you must first  clean the basement or garage before starting the really big projects.  Get started even if you don’t think you’re organized enough or lacking in some way.
  • Minimize Paperwork and Interruptions – Don’t check email every 5 minutes and if you must answer email, keep it short and to the point.  Keep your office and paperwork well organized and use the one touch rule with all paperwork (file immediately, discard, or respond if absolutely critical).

Time is your most precious resource, but can be the biggest challenge for the entrepreneur who wants to work from home.  Don’t join the largest nation on earth, procrastination.  An organized office also contributes to your overall time management strategy.

In this article we address some concepts to keep in mind when using MySpace as a marketing platform. The information here a summary of a recent webinar presented by MariAnn Lisenbe. Her session covered the best content to include in your profile.  Note that since a MySpace profile is public, vs. Facebook’s profiles, you MySpace page can take the place of a personal website.  Here are the steps to getting started:

  1. Create a slideshow of you having fun and having time freedom.  Put together photos from your life using Slide.com, YouRock.com, or similar site.
  2. Use an attention grabbing headline.  Think news headline when creating your headline and opening paragraph, telling just enough to get their interest.
  3. Your background should be aimed at your target market, telling people only enough to create curiousity.  A lot of people think they might exclude some people; however what happens is you’ll attract those of similar mindset.
  4. Present your problem.  Lay out the reason why you’re starting an online business.
  5. Solution to your problem.  This section describes your solution, e.g., Magnetic Sponsoring, MyLeadSystemPro, or other system you may be using.
  6. Call to Action.  Most people miss this step, e.g., never tell people to click on your link, taking them to the same solution you found.  Also mention any offers, such as free training that they’ll get
  7. Take away.  Explain that you’re only looking to work with certain types of people.  Make it exclusive, so people will want to work with you.

Next, fill in the remaining profile elements, such as the books you read.  Also include any causes that you are passionate about.  Since your MySpace page is public, then you won’t necessarily need a separate website.  In addition, you can post articles and videos to your profile, which will keep people coming back.

MariAnn also covered her strategy of adding friends to her MySpace page.  Basically, she uses the MySpace search feature and FriendBlaster.  Her searches include people looking for networking and who like authors like Robert Kiyosaki or similar.

We recommend taking care with this approach, however. According to social networks expert, Max Steingart, promoting a business opportunity on MySpace is a recipe for being banned from the system. The reason that it works for MariAnn, is that in Step 5, she is using a generic squeeze page offer which provides additional value vs. selling or presenting a business opportunity directly. Just keep this in mind and use caution in how you are describing your business offer.

In this article we discuss the concepts of attraction marketing as they pertain to social networks.  Although the strategy used isn’t the classic attraction marketing approach of making a compelling offer in order to capture email address/build a list, etc., the concepts are similar.   Instead of a free report or training offer, the “bait” is your profile and interaction socially with prospects.  So, to get started, you need to set-up your pages on Facebook, and/or MySpace, etc.  Then determine what strategy you want to use.

There are three types of pages on the social networks:

  • Total commercial for one’s business – This type of page is viewed as a salesperson trying to sell something. This may lead to spam complaints when trying to connect and isn’t recommended.
  • Part personal, part business – People will communicate with reservations, waiting for the page owner to hit them with their sales pitch.  A better approach but still not recommended, unless you are already a 6-figure earner or better.
  • All about you, no business – Magnetically attracts people to you.  This is the recommended approach.

There are three ways to brand yourself:

  • As someone happy and/or wildly successful – This is the best strategy, even if you are at one of the ladder’s bottom rungs at this point, e.g., just getting started.  One way to leverage this method is to post motivational messages on your profile at least a couple times daily.  What quotes and authors have helped you in your life?  Share these things with your network.
  • As an expert – Also a good approach, but requires some expertise and credentials already in place.
  • As a successful network marketing professional – Limits you to only those already in the network marketing  industry.

Once your pages are created and/or adjusted for your particular strategy, then begin connecting with old friends and making new friends.  Use a memory jogger list, similar to those found in any network marketing training course to “remind” yourself of the people you know.  If you’re not familiar with network marketing, you can just use the Yellow Pages categories to remind you of people to add to your network.

If you’re in network marketing, you probably don’t want to listen to the trainers in your company.  That is, especially if they’re advising you to be aggressive in approaching your social media friends with an “elevator” speech.  This is what all the amateurs are doing, and it won’t work.  Rather you need to question them conversationally to determine a need in their life for your products and/or business opportunity.  The rule is never to approach anyone without first determining their need.  If done correctly, your friends will ask you what you do, believing that it was their idea for you to share information with them about your business and/or products.

Further information and social networking strategies are available in our attraction marketing system including Wednesday evening webinars (see opt-in box at right), and  a recent Facebook training course by one of the most successful social media experts today.

Today, we review what is one of our favorite tools for making videos and automating much of the tedious process of converting formats, logging into multiple websites, and keeping a schedule.  Traffic Geyser is an incredible tool that simplifies all this and literally shortens what would be a process involving hours of effort to just a few minutes to accomplish all your video marketing tasks.

Traffic Geyser includes video sites, blogging sites, social bookmarking sites, and article directories.  A one time setup process is involved to sign-up for all of the supported sites, or to enter existing login and password information.  In addition, the system allows profiles to be established for certain types of submissions that may be frequently made.

In the submission process, a five page form is filled out with specific submission information for your video and any associated blog or article directory text, the specific sites to submit to, and additional information needed for each of the chosen sites.  Submissions can be repeated up to four times at weekly intervals, as a “refresh” feature, and in order to submit different formats needed by specific directories.

All of the conversion and submission is taken care of by Traffic Geyser from this point on.  You can monitor submission results after the fact and correct any errors as needed.  Additional features include some royalty free music for use with your videos, and the ability to create squeeze/landing pages for your business and/or clients.

Extensive training is provided for those new to the world of video submissions in the form of videos in the back office.  In addition, each Wednesday evening, a webinar is held to cover “frequently asked” questions.  These sessions can be excellent and often provide excellent insights into such advanced topics as search engine optimization and how to evaluate/correct seo mistakes on websites.  Several training videos are also available on how to start your own consulting business based on offering video submissions for local and/or international businesses.

Does Traffic Geyser do it all?  Probably not, but it has everything needed especially in the world of video submissions across a wide cross-section of video sites online.  It’s weakest area would be in article marketing, but if you only need to submit to a few sites, it does an adequate job.  We recommend supplementing with other submission tools such as Automatic Article Submitter for the more serious article marketer’s needs.

As you may have noticed we’ve instituted a  90 Day Attraction Marketing Challenge and goal to increase the production of content for this blog.  The strategy and challenge is to update on a daily basis with both written content and video(s).  The duration is 90 days; and today is the halfway point.  So how is it going?

The experiment has been interesting and certainly yielded much higher production than previously achieved since inception of our blog here.  Out of 99 articles on the blog, 45 have been added in the last month and a half.  Similarly our YouTube channel has just about doubled in video content during this period.

However, in addition to blogging, we have wanted to increase the number of articles and videos submitted through article marketing and video marketing.  In the first 30 days, we incorporated video marketing and started adding article marketing (will full spinning and submission) in the last two weeks.  As of this writing, these processes have been completed at total of 38 times for video marketing using Traffic Geyser and article marketing 9 times using Automatic Article Submitter.

So how’s the blog traffic going?  According to SEM Rush, our Google search engine traffic grew from 10 before starting out to 60 by mid July, which was based solely on a couple of weeks of video submissions.  August statistics should be interesting, when available, since some article marketing had also been started by that time.  Since beginning to incorporate article marketing at the first of this month, the number of opt-in leads to our blog training and affiliate offers has noticeably increased, which is at this point a very encouraging sign.  As mentioned previously, this strategy, although admittedly at a higher level yielded about 500 visits per day in 90 days for David Wood, who is an attraction marketing specialist that came up with this methodology.  For further details on his specific strategy, we refer the reader to David Wood’s training webinar from 2009.

What about commitment?  Obviously positive feedback is a great motivator, as it tends to increase level of belief in the process being used to move forward toward the goal.  We can only speculate on our own continuing commitment, but plan on again redoubling our efforts and even to pick up the pace to a new level.  What better time than the half-way point in our challenge.

In order to finish strong, our commitment at this point is to continue adding daily content to this blog and to increase the goal of article marketing submissions to two per day, while submitting two videos per day until caught up in the sequence.  Currently 38 of the 45 videos have been submitted via Traffic Geyser.

Successful achievement of goals depends on keeping daily activities at a high level.  In order to do this, a good feedback of positive results is important, but when results can’t be visibly seen a certain belief in the process must take over.  Without strong belief that a chosen vehicle will take you to your chosen destination, few will engage the process.

My Lead System Pro, formerly MLM Lead System Pro,  is an attraction marketing system designed initially for the network marketing community.  As an upfront disclaimer, we’ve been involved with the system just over a year and might earn a commission if you click on links within this article.  That being said, we have found the system to be of very high caliber and the management and leadership to operate ethically and in the interest of every subscriber to the system.

MLSP was created based on the premise that a large percentage of network marketers are not “happy” with their situation and above all short on cash.  They have been unable to create, in most cases, an adequate income above the poverty level.  Maybe this is ok for the part timer, but those that aspire to “fire your boss” are in most cases not making any real progress.  Many, in fact are spending too much in training, attending conventions, marketing materials and advertising, etc. with not enough return from their efforts.  Many who have turned to leads companies, including MLSP founders Brian Fanale and Norbert Orlewicz, report dismal results with this approach.

And many network marketers have tried multiple companies and by the third or fourth time are not too inclined to go back to their friends and family again with this latest “deal.”  So, they must make new contacts and find prospects some other way, often being trained to wander around shopping malls and prospect waitresses at the restaurants they frequent.  So the second big problem is most are in lead poverty and don’t have enough people to talk to.

MLSP, based on Mike Dillard’s Magnetic Sponsoring ebook, is an attempt to solve these two main problems that most network marketers are experiencing.  Enter the funded proposal.  What this means is that in the course of your marketing efforts, MLSP introduces multiple additional revenue streams to help with the first problem of being short on cash.  In addition, as internet and other innovative marketing techniques begin to be mastered, the shortage of leads issue is taken care of as well.  In addition, it provides a systematic approach to training those that come behind you in the process.

Many are finding success in the MLM industry for the first time using MLSP’s training systems and methodology.  Is it the only approach that works for the industry?  Industry veteran and well-known social media trainer Max Steingart teaches his students that the attraction marketing concepts are too expensive and work too slowly, but has recently introduced his training methods to MLSP founders and may soon be  an integral part within MLSP, which already includes training on Facebook marketing.

Although MLSP may not be the right fit for every network marketer, we think it has to be at or near the top of its class and would recommend it for those inclined toward its approach.  We invite the visitor to visit our main MLSP landing page to see how it operates

In this article, we discuss the importance of having and staying in the right mindset to achieving the most success in the prospecting for your network marketing business. While prospecting activities are vital,  the right mindset is the one factor that may be the most critical to the eventual success or failure of your enterprise. It isn’t like being an employee where you can just mindlessly clock-in and out each day; rather how you think will play a major part in determining your daily and overall results and most importantly your earnings.

Perhaps this is why the majority of people favor or gravitate to just getting a job, with the “guaranteed” weekly pay. But since you’ve chosen a riskier path with higher potential rewards, you must pay attention to mindset.  What steps have you taken to develop and nurture the mindset that is absolutely vital for your success?

Sales and prospecting in any business requires a firm underlying belief in the value of the activities you undertake each moment.  This is where the battles are won and lost.  Many “say” they believe in the industry and their company, but does their belief translate into positive action “in the moment?”  Is it that their beliefs exist at a superficial level and aren’t internalized deeply enough to translate into actions need for success?  This may be what it comes down to.

You’ve got to believe that your mentors have you on the correct path for your eventual success and that taking action is moving you down the path toward your success.  Of course there is always a time and place for course correction, but in most cases it is a matter of just moving forward with confidence.  Having more than one mentor or getting a second opinion can be helpful, as long as you are selective in your choices.  And of course you should be a perpetual student of sales, prospecting, and people skills via as many CDs, DVDs and books as you can possibly absorb.

As a side note, you should be cautious of the many voices and wary of who you listen to.  Are you getting advice from only those who have a level of success that you would like to personally attain?  Or are you listening to someone close to you that hasn’t actually achieved the levels you are seeking?  Be careful of even entertaining thoughts from anyone who isn’t in a position that you would aspire to attain.

Mindset will set your course.  Your beliefs will cause you to take the actions necessary to move you forward or possibly could be holding you back.  Even if you operate in the 9-5 work world, your thoughts and mindset could be limiting your achievement, but as an entrepreneur you must be a master of your own mindset.  When you are, you will control your destiny.
