Andy Jenkins, the creator of “Video Boss,”  shared some of his video tricks on a recent webinar.  In Andy’s opinion, most marketers are treating video as a “dog,” when they should be treating it as a gazelle.  Andy is passionate about the place of videos in the internet marketing industry.

Andy attended NYU Film School after which he worked in the film industry.  His experience in editing TV & Feature Film media in 1999 led him to create a Yahoo store selling props from films.  Andy Jenkins video bossThis got him started in Internet marketing, where he met some key individuals who ended up making the “Blair Witch Project” and “Lord of the Rings.”  He has gone on to make several other films with this company, Hacks and Films, where he created and managed $41 million in video promotions.

Andy shared both the good news and bad news in today’s Internet age:

  • The Good News – It’s never been easier with available technology to create videos.  In Andy’s career, it wasn’t usual to have equipment which cost over $1 million in the trade.  Today’s equivalent “studio” can be created with one laptop, downloadable software, an HD flip-style camera, and a USB headset/microphone.
  • The Bad News -  In today’s “level” playing field, it becomes harder and harder for the individual to stand out from the crowd.  Today, successful marketing efforts most be done with distinction, connection, and story.

What characteristics are needed in today’s environment?

The first is distinction.  Personality crushes all noise in the marketplace.  For example, today, Apple Computer has Steve Jobs and is the most valuable computer property in the world.  Microsoft had Bill Gates.  Google has Larry Sergey; everyone loves Raymond; and everyone cringes at Lady Gaga.

Personality crushes all noise in the marketplace

People want to work with, spend time, engage with and spend money with other people. All of the surrounding infrastructure:  web pages, blogs, shopping carts, email which used to be the foundation are today’s price of entry but not enough.  Today’s marketers stop here and forget to market with distinction.

Andy believes marketers need to narrow their message for more customers.  For instance, when meeting a friend you don’t ask generalized questions; rather engage them in the context of what you already know about them.  Andy used to be too broad in his video marketing message.  Today, he assumes that the prospect is skeptical, in pain, and as a result seeking what he offers and thus treats them “like a buddy” and speaks directly to these needs.  Video marketing is the only form that allows you to connect with a demographic.  Prospects are self-qualified, since they are already attracted to the message on your page at the very moment and seeking a solution to their “pain.”  Your message must capture them in 8 to 15 seconds with a specific, targeted message rather than a broad exposition on a broad topic.  Video marketing is therefore much different that television commercials or billboards.

Video marketing is the only form that allows you to connect with a demographic.

Selling is showing 2 critical ownership experiences:  1)  the process or your product working and 2) the results of ownership or demonstrating their “improved” life.  There are lots of reasons people don’t buy, but remember that they may still “love” your message, e.g. video.  So, even if they leave, they will still talk about it, tweet, share, etc.

Authenticity is about beauty scars.

People are fascinated by how stuff is made.  When we get to know the imperfect process, its flaws reduce intimidation.  People don’t expect you to be perfect in your videos, but will love you if you can solve their problems.  In his Video Boss product release, Andy decided to be truly authentic vs. leveraging his film industry contacts.  In other words, people when they see the imperfections in Andy’s presentation will “get” the fact that they don’t need to be perfect.  Authenticity is all about beauty scars.  His “Cuzin Andy” squeeze page is getting an unheard of 52% opt-in rate.

The lesson learned on the journey is sometimes the bigger take away than the destination achieved.

Watching someone else take the journey first lets prospects fully engage without taking the risks.  Would it be possible and beneficial to “tell” the customer in advance about using your product in video form?  Andy shared several other ideas including videos on setting up and using the product, customer support, and upgrade options.  His Video Boss product is the ultimate education available anywhere for those who want to shortcut the “learning curve” in their marketing education.

Jordan Shultz presented an overview of TribePro on a recent webinar sponsored by My Lead System Pro.  Jordan, who worked for several years in his family’s restaurant business, realized he wanted to be able to have more time freedom, when witnessing his brother’s lifestyle after the birth of his nephew.  This caused him to start his own business, although he struggled for several years and ended up in debt as a result.  After discovering My Lead System Pro, and more recently, TribePro, he as completely turned around his life, achieving success for the first time via his online ventures. Jordan Shultz with MLSP Founders Brian Fanale and Norbert Orlewicz

Facebook now has over 600 Million users.  On Twitter, there are 55 million tweets per day and 106 million users.  Many people are constantly on these systems all day long, often via their smart phones.  Jordan began his meteoric path to success by leveraging these trends about six months ago, mostly via the “tribe” concept and TribePro.

What is a tribe?  As illustrated below, a tribe is an interconnected group that bands together to promote each other’s online content.  What is TribePro?  TribePro is an automation of the tribe concept, when tribe members agree to automatically syndicate each other’s content.  The nice thing about a tribe is that Google has recently become much more social.  Google’s “+1″ is their version of Facebook’s “Like” button, giving “you” the option of “voting” for relevant online content.  Twitter and Flickr will soon be integrated, adding further weight to +1′s value.  Jordan has achieved #2 rank for “Attraction Marketing,” and #3 for “SEO Networker,” by leveraging social networks and TribePro.Jordan's MLSP Tribe includes both Ray Higdon and David Wood

Here is Jordan’s 3 step process for achieving these amazing results:

  1. Use keyword research tool, Market Samurai.
  2. Optimize content with SEOpressor.
  3. Syndicate content through TribePro.

How does this work?  By leveraging Onlywire, a syndication tool, content is syndicated to over 30 of the top social networking sites.  A paid account ($10 per month) is recommended.  It takes about 4 hours for social accounts to be set up, including your biography and a picture (recommended to be accomplished as quickly as possible.  On the webinar, detailed setup instructions were provided by JP Letnick.  An overview of these instructions are also available on his blog.  Important considerations are:

  • Add your blog url in the description box of your profile
  • Do not add Facebook to Onlywire, unless you want to get your account banned.
  • Captcha code simplification from Onlywire is a must, since you will be auto-syndicating a lot of content for your tribe members and don’t want to have to be verifying hundreds of captcha codes manually every day.

TribePro was advertised in advance of this webinar as a way to automatically get 2500 shares of your content, e.g., blog post, YouTube video, etc.  On the actual webinar, JP demonstrated over 750 shares within 5 minutes using TribePro, so we don’t see this as any kind of a scam.  Rather, it’s a refreshingly honest new business tool that is an absolute “must” for any serious Internet marketer.  My Lead System Pro’s attraction marketing membership just became worth it’s weight in gold! A detailed instructional course is now available for those who want to short the process of using TribePro for content syndication.

Ron Douglas recently shared his video sharing service on a webinar sponsored by James Jones. Ron is founder of VideoForward.com, a NY Times best selling author, and has been featured on Good Morning America, Fox News, ABC News, and others.

What is VideoForward?  It is a revenue sharing affiliate site on which you can share free videos and earn from doing so.  Currently 24 hours of video is uploaded every minute and video accounts for over half of the traffic on the Internet.  YouTube alone gets over 2 billion views a day (double prime time of 3 top networks).

Ron came up with the idea after doing a viral marketing test using a Tim Ferris video, “How to Peel a Hard-Boiled Egg,” to generate traffic and made almost $10,000 from sending to a list of about 4500 people, from Adsense revenue.  VideoForward concept is taking this idea to the next level as an affiliate program.

Affiliates of VideoForward are then able to embed high-traffic videos from YouTube and drive traffic to their embedded copy of these viral videos.  An affiliate commission of 50% is paid as well as earnings from Adsense, etc.  Marketers then use search engine optimization and authority sites to build links to their embedded videos.  Since creating VideoForward.com about 120,000 inlinks are now logged by Yahoo Site Explorer in under a year.  About 2400 members currently use the site.

What is the earning potential for someone who can post 100 videos per month?  Average traffic would be 30,000 assuming 10 views per day per video.  Assuming 10% click rate averaging $.50 per click, earnings would be $1500.  In addition, if .1% join the site then recurring income generated would be an additional $1442 per month.

VideoForward.com is just one example of innovative affiliate marketing opportunities that abound for making money on the Internet.  For additional ideas visit our attraction marketing system which has over 20 affiliate income streams available to internet marketers, specializing in the network marketing industry.

In this article we discuss the top 10 benefits of online content marketing.  This includes both article marketing and video marketing.   Although these two methods are somewhat different, they both contribute to the advantages of publishing your own content online.

  1. Positions you as the expert.  As an extension of blogging, your online content can be easily distributed to many directories and websites, creating your own niche of expertise and establishing you as a leader.
  2. Develops your “brand.”  Creating your own articles can have not only the effect of establishing your online brand on your blog, but also promotes the organization of your thoughts.  This can eventually lead to life changing decisions about your own career and contributions to society.
  3. Keeps you in research mode.  Publishing articles and videos consistently has the advantage of forcing you to keep current and always be on the lookout for industry trends, product announcements, and the latest company information in your area of expertise.
  4. Attracts like-minded following.  Having current and cutting-edge content on your blog and in the article directories and video sites like YouTube will, over time, attract followers of your work and contributions.  The more useful the material, the more likely that your readers will subscribe to your content “feeds.”
  5. Your content is available 24×7 worldwide.  A major advantage, although the distinctions within the publishing world have started to blur is that online content is widely available any time that it is needed or sought out.  In addition, your content, if well done can become timeless reference material, documentation of events, and important in instructional settings.
  6. Develops a relationship with your following.  Especially with video content, your followers can become familiar with you quickly and with availability never before seen in human history.  Many video marketing practitioners report when meeting people for the first time they often are greeted by people who feel like a relationship already exists via the videos they have watched.
  7. Great for SEO.  Many article directories and video sites carry high page rank.  You content on these sites will produce search engine optimization (SEO) “points,” especially for articles/videos that generate a significant interest.
  8. Possibility of viral content.  The most popular articles and especially videos can begin to spread virally on the Internet, greatly boosting your own celebrity status as well as SEO ranking.
  9. Promotes syndication.  Especially article directories are often open to syndication of your content, further spreading your name recognition and back-links to your main site and/or blog.
  10. Automates your recruiting process.  If using attraction marketing, articles strategically written, usually will lead to a capture page to begin the relationship process with like-minded individuals who are already “on the hunt” for what you are offering.

Online content marketing is one of the most powerful and long-lasting activities and strategies available in internet/attraction marketing.  Producing online content is not difficult, although some practice is usually involved.  The rewards can be great in furthering your brand and as a way of generating leads for your business.

Mia Davies is an up and coming networker and attraction marketing guru who specializes and puts emphasis on video marketing. Her credentials are quickly growing, as a top recruiter in My Lead System Pro, one of the Internet’s leading attraction marketing systems and the top female recruiter in her primary business. She attributes much of her success and growth to her use of video marketing concepts, and believes that the use of video marketing is changing the landscape in the current network marketing environment. In this review we wanted to take a closer look at her success and glean some wisdom from one of her recent videos, just released for public consumption and a recent webinar.

In our own Attraction Marketing Challenge, we have repeatedly emphasized and leveraged some of our own past success in order to gain confidence in really having the ability or what it takes to “finish the course.” In Mia’s recent video, she emphasizes a key truth, that 98% of you accomplishments are due to mindset. Sure, technique and process are important, but overwhelmingly, mindset will rule in the end. So if you’ve been failing up to now, just look within for the majority of the solution and answer to what you’ve been seeking.

Mia’s use of video marketing in her network marketing business has been the key for her spectacular success and personal growth.  In her case, she has leveraged her own video marketing successes to conquer her own fears and move forward in many areas of life.  It has given her confidence to realize that many people have come to know, like and trust her because they’ve become followers of her videos on YouTube and Facebook.  Although she has been able to rank her videos on Google, page 1, that is not the key.  It’s all about building relationships.

Video is the most powerful tool for getting people to know, like and trust you.  This is the most important part of turning people into buyers of what you’re offering.  Internet video allows you to leverage your time, literally creating relationships 24×7 as they watch your videos.

According to Mia, most people avoid videos because of fear of what they’ll sound like or that they’ll make a bad video.  But the truth is that you’ll gain people’s respect by making your own videos and you’ll get progressively better.  As you relax and just be yourself, you’ll relate to and inspire people as you share your knowledge and experiences.  By taking action, you’ll make the world better because of the fact you’re sharing your own unique contributions.  Visit our attraction marketing system for more information on attraction marketing for your network marketing business.

Today, we review what is one of our favorite tools for making videos and automating much of the tedious process of converting formats, logging into multiple websites, and keeping a schedule.  Traffic Geyser is an incredible tool that simplifies all this and literally shortens what would be a process involving hours of effort to just a few minutes to accomplish all your video marketing tasks.

Traffic Geyser includes video sites, blogging sites, social bookmarking sites, and article directories.  A one time setup process is involved to sign-up for all of the supported sites, or to enter existing login and password information.  In addition, the system allows profiles to be established for certain types of submissions that may be frequently made.

In the submission process, a five page form is filled out with specific submission information for your video and any associated blog or article directory text, the specific sites to submit to, and additional information needed for each of the chosen sites.  Submissions can be repeated up to four times at weekly intervals, as a “refresh” feature, and in order to submit different formats needed by specific directories.

All of the conversion and submission is taken care of by Traffic Geyser from this point on.  You can monitor submission results after the fact and correct any errors as needed.  Additional features include some royalty free music for use with your videos, and the ability to create squeeze/landing pages for your business and/or clients.

Extensive training is provided for those new to the world of video submissions in the form of videos in the back office.  In addition, each Wednesday evening, a webinar is held to cover “frequently asked” questions.  These sessions can be excellent and often provide excellent insights into such advanced topics as search engine optimization and how to evaluate/correct seo mistakes on websites.  Several training videos are also available on how to start your own consulting business based on offering video submissions for local and/or international businesses.

Does Traffic Geyser do it all?  Probably not, but it has everything needed especially in the world of video submissions across a wide cross-section of video sites online.  It’s weakest area would be in article marketing, but if you only need to submit to a few sites, it does an adequate job.  We recommend supplementing with other submission tools such as Automatic Article Submitter for the more serious article marketer’s needs.

In this article, we provide an overview of the various sources of leads for MLM or any business model using the Internet. To do this we’ll take a look inside one of the leading attraction marketing training systems on the Internet, My Lead System Pro. Within this training system are contained many great suggested marketing methods, lead sources, tips, techniques and tools for the serious online marketer. Here is our overview:

  • Facebook/MySpace/LinkedIn – The largest social media sites are excellent, representing  millions of possible leads for your business.  These sites have many excellent tools for marketing, including profiles of millions of people who are perfect candidates for your business offerings.  The new Advanced Search functionality on Facebook, as well as MySpace’s more extensive search capabilities can quickly locate members of groups, geographic proximity, age, and other demographics to quickly identify prospects most likely to be your prospects.
  • Video Marketing – Videos on YouTube can be one of the quickest ways to develop viral content.  Video marketing not only can be used to publish your informational content to hundreds of highly-ranked sites, but also creates backlinks to your primary website or blog.
  • PayPerClick Marketing – This is a paid strategy using Google, Yahoo, and Bing paid ads.  This strategy requires advanced training and should be entered carefully, since it can quickly get expensive.  It can also be the quickest way to generate business leads.
  • Blogging – This is a core strategy, especially with WordPress.org self hosted blogs which are popular in personal branding for marketing purposes and easy to get quickly ranked using search engine optimization.  This blog is an an example of using blogging strategy and is ranked for many keywords, although it has only been in existence about 8 months currently.
  • ListBuilders – Special paid memberships can both attract a following for your personal list as well as provide an opportunity to send your ads to thousands of other subscribers each week.
  • Ezine/Solo Ads – Ezines, or electronic magazines, offer the ability to include your ad, or devote an entire issue to your offer.  A solo ad can sometimes generate over one thousand leads from a single blast to the list.  The advantage of this method, is that the list is pre-qualified and receptive to your offer, if carefully chosen.
  • Forum Marketing – Many high-profile marketing forums exist on the Internet, such as Mike Dillard‘s Better Networker, the Warrior Forum, freelancemom.com/forum and others.  High quality content can be published in these forums including your signature file.
  • Content/Article Marketing – Hundreds of online directories of articles exist which accept short articles from 300 to 1,000 words.  Most allow the inclusion of two backlinks, e.g., to your blog and funded proposal/squeeze page in exchange for the content you provide.  Submitting duplicate content can be minimized and the submission process automated using tools such as Automatic Article Submitter.

The Internet offers a rich environment for the professional marketer,  including many excellent tools to automate the process.    When getting started, it is recommended starting with one method and perfecting that before moving on to additional methods.  Further information is available in the My Lead System Pro marketing system and training.

What can be done to improve your skill-set in attraction marketing?  How can you increase your exposure and improve your “brand?”  Of course you want to get all the training you can get your hands on and learn as many shortcuts as possible.  But for most of us, the skills needed in marketing take time to develop.  At some point, however, it is time for the rubber to meet the road, literally sometimes.  Maybe you’ll be really bad at it to start.  Most people are, but don’t let that stop you.  Just do it.  Then do it some more again and again.

So as we continue to run life’s race what areas do we need to practice on to improve our skills?  What are the basics; especially what areas are likely to slip by.  What skills do you need to practice.  Here, we suggest several that you should be practicing daily.

  • Blogging – You really need to be in the habit of blogging almost perpetually.  This skill alone is the cornerstone of attraction marketing.  Are you branding “You, Inc.” on your blog, or is it all about some scientist or company that you’ve been brainwashed by.  Now don’t get me wrong, in that you need to be really passionate about your scientist and your chosen company, because they are about changing the world, after all, aren’t they?  But you can’t lose focus and need to create your brand first.
  • Video marketing – You may have noticed what seems to be an explosion of video here lately, as well as all over the Internet on this topic.  Video marketing is absolutely one of the most important factors in your attraction marketing campaign.  How is it going for you?  How many videos have you created this week?  this month?  this year?  What are your goals.  If, like many of us, fear of being imperfect is holding you back, then it may be time to enter the fray.  Have fun, but most of all, get in the game and practice until you’re doing videos almost habitually!
  • Article marketing -  Another important tool.  One of my mentors once said that your goal should be to create one “killer” article at least each week.  Then, by extension, publish this article once a week throughout the Internet using article marketing.  Maybe you want to target a specific high visibility directory with one of the lesser quality articles a time or two a week as well.  As you probably know, some directories try to insist on only receiving unique content.  So here is your chance.  Maybe write one a little off topic in area that fuels your passion.  Just go for it and log it all as practice for the long-haul.

Additional strategies in paid ads, social media, and other types of advertising could supplement or replace those above, depending on your own strategy.  This is just one suggested approach and it may not work for everyone.  For more ideas and training in the realm of attraction marketing, visit our My Lead System Pro attraction marketing system.

Content Marketing Online

On November 13, 2009, in Online Content Marketing, by Jim

In this article, I will review a recent webinar presented by David Wood.  This webinar was highly unusual, in that David gave away nearly every secret and tool in his kit.  How often have you heard that?  MLSP owner Brian Fanale commented that their was such incredible content that attendees would need to listen to his session 7-10 times to really understand how to duplicate David’s content marketing strategy.

David’s strategy has solved, for him, several of the problems inherent in traditional MLM.  You know the scenario:  make a list, and contact everyone about your business opportunity.  How many of these people are anxiously awaiting your miracle products and amazing residual income streams?  Of course there are the grinders, who make this work.  David was one of them, and very successful in his Amway business, but found that this success didn’t truly generate the free time that he felt it should have.  So he turned to the Internet.

His concepts are simple, yet profound and somewhat difficult to implement.  For any marketer, it is important to abide by principles that will truly drive traffic to your blog, videos, and articles.  Your content must be relevant to topics that are useful to real needs for real people.  Popularity is essential, e.g., the number and quality of sites linking to your content.  Your content must be unique.  Then finally, to achieve “buzz,” you must be consistent in your actions.  You may not need to post to your blog every day,but you can’t let the content become “stale,” either.  Follow these concepts and you’ll soon find yourself on the first page of Google and other search engines.

With that in mind, there are four simple steps to follow.  David suggests doing these every day to add to your content:

  1. Create an original article – there are limitless possibilities for this, but keep in mind that you want to use terms that are “popular” in the search engines, yet not overly popular.  In the webinar, David used an example article he wrote, “Brian Fanale Review,”  which ranks his blog and landing page at the top of Google’s search.
  2. Bookmark your article using OnlyWire.com {free}
  3. Promote through video sharing – this single step will set you well apart from the competition.  David suggests TrafficGeyser.com, which has a 30 day $1 Trial period.  If you can’t afford the $97 monthly fee after doing this 30 days, then drop the subscription.automatic article submitter
  4. Use Automatic Article Submitter – this allows you to submit your article to hundreds of directories and ezines.  The program tools built-in which allow you to “rewrite” the content slightly for each submission.  This ensures originality of your article and creates search engine “popularity” for Blog.

This was one of the most intense and enlightening sessions I’ve ever been in on.  I’ve listened to it twice myself already and plan on at least 5 more times.  My advice is to listen to the webinar to hear for yourself what David Wood accomplished and exactly how.  And while you’re at it, why not check out  MLM Lead System Pro to unlock  many additional secrets of marketing yourself vs. your company’s business online.
