The Internet has become the most lucrative sales environment in history spawning countless new millionaires. What business opportunities and ideas are best in creating not only immediate sales, but long-term success through residual income streams?

Sure, there is money today in sales. In a 2006 article by John Chow, The Internet’s Biggest Google Whores, the top 10 Google AdSense publishers were earning from $10,000 to $300,000 monthly. But this is managed income, requiring effort every day. What about “hands-off” passive income streams?

Network marketing companies still offer the best possibility for achieving successful residual streams, if chosen carefully. Consumable products, that are unique and effective work best for this, since your customers will need to reorder from you. Generics should not be available, or at least not as effective and “valuable” as your products. In their recent book, Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki, effectively endorse the MLM model, even stating that if given a “do-over” they would have chosen MLM to create their own wealth. So what does this mean for you in the Internet age?

My short answer is online “Attraction Marketing.” In a more detailed answer, the social networks and blogs are the best tools available to leverage in the process. What you need to do is take a self-inventory and then create your own “Brand.” What are your strengths and experiences? How can these be leveraged, not just for your own needs, but for the greater good? Every person has a unique contribution that they have been “designed” to make. What is yours? We suggest that fulfilling your own “destiny,” coupled to the right network marketing business will unlock your own personal streams of residual income.

Then you can simply using social media, blogging and other tools to spread your message and feed into a sales funnel for your own carefully selected network marketing efforts. In this process, your most valuable “brand” is your own name. In my case, with a common name, I selected JimGreen.us as my blog (too late to get a dot com). All my social media sites also are in my name, reinforcing my own “brand.” For instance, my Twitter account is Jim_C_Green. Your objective is to create a social media site “vortex” of websites interconnected with your blog.

Your “brand” needs to speak to your passion and the contributions areas that you have been “gifted” to participate in. What is yours? One of my mentors, Dr. Ivan Misner, has created his own brand and “catch phrase,” that, for me says it all. “Givers gain.” As a member of a local Business Networks International chapter, I have learned from personal experience the truth of this concept and also believe that it is one of the fundamental universal laws. So, thus, your own income will be proportional to your own contributions to society.
